More than 100 years ago, the founder Johann van Elten invented the first ELTEN safety shoe - made of leather instead of wood. Today, ELTEN is Europe’s leading manufacturer of quality safety and work footwear. With around 300 employees, ELTEN produces around 3 million pairs of quality safety footwear each year.

All of our safety boots &work shoesare compliant with the relevant international safety standard DIN EN ISO 20344:2013 / DIN EN ISO 20345:2012. In fact, they often exceed the specifications from the standards and various models are available covering all safety classes (S1, S1P, S2 and S3).

Women's feet are different. Women's feet need tailored safety boots & shoes. they are narrower, with a lower instep compared to men’s feet. ELTEN has a whole range of work boots & shoes for women catering for a narrower fit.
Semi-orthopaedic full-length inlay soles are available for all footwear with 3 different arch support levels - low, medium and high. Visit us at our showroom for an assessment with the ELTEN ‘Footdisc’, a thermosensitive measuring device to determine required arch support level.
